Keven Brooks has been woodturning since middle school, drawn to the challenge of creating functional pieces of art from mere unfinished blocks of wood. Progressing from simple items like bowls and plates to a variety of items like custom made wooden pens, pens made from rose petals, bud vases, bottle stoppers, and shoehorns, everything Keven makes is unique and cannot be replicated.
Of his work the artist states, “I feel a huge sense of accomplishment in creating one of a kind pieces because people enjoy buying unique items, products that are not mass produced. I put a great deal of thought and time into my work in order to give people the originality and creativity they are seeking.”
