Peaceful Warrior

Isn’t this magnificent!?!  This predominantly bronze ceramic mask has been lovingly layered with many coats of varying pigments, including violet and gold leaf, resulting in a radiant luster.  The features of this 14" x 9" mask are intricately human, yet have a mysteriously otherworldly quality.   This is a very special work of art.

Bodhisatva

Titled after a Buddhist entity, whose name roughly references “angels that come to earth to help people", this female raku ceramic mask is graceful and conveys a benevolent aura.  Colors vary in this lovely work from dark purples, blue hues to subtle earth toned highlights.  She looks ancient, wise and lovely.    The mask measures 12” high,  8” wide and 3 ½” thick.
