Cindy Rinne is a poet who expresses her creative words three dimensionally in the form of wall art. Where a poem is provided, that original poetry appears on the wall art that Cindy brings to Arts That Work. All these art works are machine pieced and machine quilted. There's a hanging sleeve on the back of each wall hanging. Each item is hung using a stick that does not show from the front. These art works should not be washed. Each piece has a label on the back with that has been titled, signed and dated by the artist.
Our fiber verse artist verbally conveys her art in this original poem:
A garden oasis
carefully planned
so I can freely
move in its wonder
and mystery
This 22” x 13” work of art is constructed of yarn, paint, ink, cheesecloth, rice paper, interfacing, marker, costume jewelry, cotton, silks, organza, beads and sequins.
The poem that prompted this 21” x 25” piece is handwritten on the back of the art work, which has been signed and dated by the artist:
Jungle Maze
Damp and stifling
Unfurls its sounds
Behind lace leaves
I love the tropically whimsical pattern (particularly the recurring lazy eyes) in this amazing symphony of colorful silk, brocade, cottons, marker, specialty threads, paint, ceramic beads, glass beads, costume jewelry, tulle, satin and inks. What a vivid imagination created this lovely fiber verse!
The birds communicate with me in the early morning blush.
A welcome song returning years after the embers cooled.
The artist has majestically conveyed a soothing serenity in her choice of materials, placement and texture. This 12” x 12” wall art in composed of African fabrics, ink, paint, vintage buttons, beads, embroidery threads, cottons. The plant is drawn onto the piece in ink using a stick.
Oh my! Look what Cindy offers our friends at Arts That Work! This is simply glorious. I love the contrasting textures and the array of vibrant colors that capture the ocean’s song and sway. This 14” x 11” elegant poetry in motion is fashioned from sheers, beads, metal, yarn, acrylic paint, charms, shells, vintage Japanese silks, cotton and an abundance of loving energy.
my hands quickly grasp the miniature breath of a stone…
gold dust.
Cindy has married vibrant metallic Oriental fabric with delicate rice paper, gentle organza, soft vintage silks, antique buttons, hand-dyed silk, yarn and cotton. Part of the original poem is handwritten on the front of this 22” x 19” piece. The entire poem is inscribed on the back.
This inspired creation combines Cindy’s imagination with cleverly introduced vintage Indian fabric, marker, paint, silks, sheers, beads, cottons, and sun print to fashion a work of art to enrich any wall. The artist further augmented this flowing composition with inspirational text inscribed on the trees. Cloud Shift measures 16” x 18” and includes a hidden hanging sleeve with a stick on the back for ease of hanging. All Cindy’s offerings include a signed and dated label on the back.
Contrasting the vista of the sea with the intimate melodies.
My thoughts move with the rhythm of the rock songs.
Cindy has described her work as “colorful and tactile, employing collage, poetry and a touch of whimsy”. I can find no better example of those words than this breathtaking 26” x 18” composition of contrasts and complements. The artist’s elegant weaving of silk, cotton, organdy, paint, beads, yarn, embroidery, thread, burnt edges, marker and, not to be forgotten, the original poem that inspired the work, elevates fiber art to new heights.
This 21” x 12” wall art is fashioned from scrim, fused interfacing, paint, beads, cottons, tulle, silk, yarn and organdy to produce a flowing patchwork of visual splendor. As with all of Cindy’s work, the piece is held in place by a hidden stick that runs through a sleeve on the back. Each art work contains a signed, dated label.
This powerfully dramatic fiber verse is created from the bonding of African fabrics, inks, beads, marker, paint, silks, cottons, and specialty threads, and measures 8” x 9”.
Don’t you love the deep, cool colors used to create this profound piece? Cindy started with silk kimonos and layered on organdy, more silk, buttons, beads, fused plastic bags (yep!), yarn, chiffon, ink, paint, marker, silk flowers, vintage trim, and pastel dye sticks to enhance the composition of this 16” x 16” wall hanging. Simply lovely!
I like the irregular shape of this softly hued wall art and the artist’s clever interpretation of stone strata. The art measures roughly 7” x 11”, lovingly constructed of African fabric, vintage fabric, paint, embroidery thread, stone beads, vintage buttons, marker, and silk. As with all of Cindy’s wall art, the piece has a hanging sleeve in the back, complete with a stick to hold the piece invisibly in place. The work is labeled on the back with the title, signed and dated by the artist.
From an artist’s inspired gift to meld varied components emerged this fantastic visual contrast. Cindy has combined kimono silk, African fabrics, Angelina fibers and chiffon with beads, ink, paint, tulle, yarn, buttons and marker to complete this artistic work. This 14” x 12” wall hanging includes a hanging sleeve on the back, held firm by a stick that does not show from the front. The art should not be washed. As with all of Cindy’s work, the piece includes a label on the back that has been signed and dated by the artist.
